Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to truenorthroadside.ca and your use of TrueNorth's online service-request features. By using the website or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

Submitting an online request does not by itself guarantee that a tow truck, driver, ETA, price or specific service is available. A service becomes confirmed when TrueNorth dispatch accepts the request and communicates the applicable service details.

Availability can be affected by traffic, weather, road closures, vehicle/equipment requirements, restricted tow zones, emergency conditions and driver capacity.

Prices displayed online are intended to support transparent quoting but may depend on distance, vehicle class, recovery complexity, site conditions, tolls, storage, additional labour or other disclosed factors. The price or calculation method communicated for your specific request controls, subject to applicable law.

Where Ontario law requires an estimate, consent, maximum-rate disclosure, invoice or specific payment options, those requirements apply and are not waived by these Terms.

You must have legal authority to request towing or roadside service for the vehicle. Ontario's Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act, 2021 and its regulations establish certification, consent, rate, invoice and consumer-protection requirements for towing services.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived. For additional information, see our Licence & Regulatory Information page and the Government of Ontario's towing consumer-rights resources.

If you are in immediate danger, your vehicle is blocking live traffic, there is a collision with injuries, a fire, a fuel hazard or another emergency, call 911 and follow police or emergency-service directions.

Do not remain in an unsafe location merely to wait for a TrueNorth driver. Follow applicable traffic laws and move to a safe place when it is lawful and safe to do so.

You agree to provide accurate information and not misuse our systems. In particular, you must not:

• request service for a vehicle you are not authorized to control;
• provide false location, vehicle, payment or contact details;
• interfere with website security, dispatch systems or service communications;
• use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or deceptive purposes; or
• copy, scrape or exploit website content in a way that violates law or our intellectual-property rights.

The website may link to or interoperate with third-party services such as maps, payment processing, communications, analytics or external websites. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices. TrueNorth is not responsible for third-party websites that we do not control.

The TrueNorth name, logos, website design, text, graphics, service descriptions and other original site content are owned by or licensed to TrueNorth and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the website for personal, lawful service-related purposes but may not reproduce or commercially exploit protected content without permission.

We aim to keep website information accurate and available, but the site may occasionally contain errors or be unavailable. Online ETAs, maps and status information are estimates and can change with real-world conditions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website is provided on an “as available” basis. These disclaimers do not remove any statutory warranty, consumer right or duty that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TrueNorth will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising solely from use of or inability to use the website. This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited, and it does not reduce any rights or remedies available under applicable towing, consumer-protection or other law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply to you.
