Service is subject to weight, dimensions and loading requirements. We also transport approved contractor, landscaping and compact equipment within capacity.

What is light-duty flatbed towing?

Light-duty flatbed towing uses a hydraulic flatbed truck to transport eligible lighter vehicles. The complete vehicle is loaded onto the platform so all four wheels are off the ground during transport. This method is safe for all-wheel-drive vehicles, low-clearance cars and vehicles with drivetrain or transmission concerns. Service is subject to weight and dimension limits.

What is medium-duty flatbed towing?

Medium-duty flatbed towing provides transport for eligible larger vehicles that require additional towing capacity. This includes larger pickup trucks, personal cargo vans, sprinter vans within capacity and cube vans within verified capacity. The vehicle is secured on the flatbed platform and transported with all wheels off the ground. Exact capacity depends on the assigned tow truck.

Yes. TrueNorth Roadside Rescue transports eligible motorcycles using appropriate loading methods, wheel chocks and securement straps. Can TrueNorth Roadside Rescue transport equipment?

Yes. TrueNorth Roadside Rescue transports approved contractor equipment, landscaping equipment, compact machinery and small construction equipment within capacity. Each request is reviewed for weight, dimensions, loading access and securement requirements before dispatch. Equipment that exceeds available capacity cannot be transported.

The request is matched with an available flatbed truck whose capacity meets the requirements. Capacity confirmation happens before dispatch.

Does TrueNorth Roadside Rescue provide heavy-duty towing?

No. TrueNorth Roadside Rescue provides light- and medium-duty flatbed towing only. Heavy-duty towing for large commercial trucks, buses, tractor-trailers and construction equipment is not available through TrueNorth Roadside Rescue. Service is limited to eligible vehicles and equipment within light- and medium-duty towing capacity.

What happens if my vehicle does not roll or steer?

Vehicles that do not roll or steer can still be transported using flatbed equipment with appropriate winching and loading methods. The operator will assess the vehicle condition and loading requirements. Additional equipment such as wheel dollies or skates may be required. Service is subject to safe loading conditions.
